What is SMS Janitorial Green Cleaning Program?
Green Cleaning Program
Green Cleaning can be defined as “cleaning that protects health without harming the environment.” We at SMS Janitorial believe certification will be a requirement for all Building Contractors in the future but we did not wait. We took a course on green cleaning. We have integrated Green Cleaning into our work for our customers. We use only chemicals that are “Green Seal Certified” and do not sacrifice effectiveness. We use vacuum cleaners that are “Green Labeled Approved” to help improve air quality. We use microfiber cloth and mops that are hypoallergenic, non-electrostatic, and environmentally friendly. They are also super absorbent and can be dried out and used again. We believe it is important to do our little bit to help protect our environment, but it also benefits you the customer:
-
Improve indoor air quality
-
Promotes safer and healthier work environment
-
Increase work productivity
-
Reduce sick days and associated health care cost
-
Peace of mind
-
Minimizes exposure to aggressive chemicals
-
Reduces water and air pollution
-
Reduces waste with concentrated products
-
Reduce packaging waste with recyclable packaging
.
SMS Janitorial is committed to environmental excellence. We have helped multiple clients secure points under the LEED-EBOM Green Building Rating System. Elements include:
-
High Performance Cleaning Program with documented employee training
-
Third party certified green chemicals with dilution systems
